About
Margaret's passion is solving puzzles: she delights in analyzing each piece to discover its purpose, understanding how each distinct piece connects, and ultimately creating cohesion from chaos.
After graduating from Randolph-Macon College in 2005, she started her career in corporate advertising and marketing, focusing on marketing planning and brand
strategy. Margaret’s passion for organizational management was discovered during her tenure as director of programs for two Virginia-based non-profits, where she honed her skills in planning, leadership, and interpersonal communication. In 2017, Margaret returned to the corporate sector, enhancing her skills in organizational management by serving as vice president of administration for an information technology recruiting company, and later as a senior strategist for a marketing agency.
As it did for so many working parents, the pandemic prompted a professional evaluation, ultimately leading Margaret to establish MLT Strategy, LLC in June 2021. Margaret works directly with small business and nonprofit CEOs to identify specific challenges and opportunities, develop tailored plans following the discovery phase, and implement sustainable changes for strategic growth and stabilization.
Margaret's accomplishments have been recognized in the Richmond Times-Dispatch’s "Decision Maker" column, and she is a Leadership Quest graduate of Leadership Metro Richmond, Class of 2017. Margaret’s additional passions include all things Disney, unobstructed views of the ocean, and the correct usage of the Oxford comma. She currently resides in Richmond, Virginia with her family.
